About Kathy

My family began attending Grace Community Church when it started meeting in the skating rink as a new church here in Altavista. We were away for a few years, but returned in October, 2007 and have been part of this church family since then.

My husband and I have seven grown children and nine beautiful grandchildren. I was a homeschooling mom for thirty years. Many of those years our family participated in the home-school co-op here at Grace. 

Three years ago, as I was winding down my home-school career, the position of Administrative Assistant became available and I was able to start a new chapter in my life. I love that God opened this door to me at just the right time. His timing is always perfect. It is a blessing to use my talents to serve this very special church family. A prayer that I have on my bulletin board reads “Lord, enable me and equip me to do Your work, in Your strength, for Your glory.” It is my sincere desire to use my time and skills for His kingdom work.
